I’ve been a photographer for 25 years and it all started when I bought a camera in a pawn shop. I didn’t realize I even liked photography until I signed up for classes at the local college, and that was all it took. I was hooked, and to this day I love it.
People often ask me what I love about it, so I’ll share my love with you. I love the stories. I love what makes people who they are. I love finding why two people have come together and decided to spend their lives with one another. I love when I can see their pain, I love when I can see their joy, and I love being able to be a part of someone’s story, if only for an instant in their life.
I cry at every wedding. Not because I’m sad, but because it is so beautiful. When dad dances with his daughter and I can see on his face he is remembering his baby girl. When the husband sees his bride coming down the aisle for the first time and is overcome with emotion with the fact that this will be his wife. When the bride wants to feel and be so beautiful, for her partner, and goes to great lengths to show him herself. To me all those profound moments are what life is about. We are our stories and I feel incredibly grateful that I can reflect back to you, your stories, through my lens.
